Design Brief

Since 2018, I have harbored the notion of crafting bespoke and personalized Christmas ornaments to bolster my personal non-profit initiative, Crafting Hope OC. Through the sale of these ornaments, I have managed to aid a plethora of homeless individuals in surmounting their dire straits during the holidays, which are often the most heart-wrenching times of the year. While many people eagerly anticipate celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with their kin and acquaintances, it is imperative that we also consider the thousands of people who live on the streets and lack reasons to be thankful and grateful during this season. While these individuals may have once celebrated the holidays with gusto and mirth, they now find themselves destitute. Although some may be able to rise above their homelessness, others will remain trapped in its clutches. What they will fondly remember, however, is the person who restored the holiday spirit during such grievous times. Although the holiday season is indeed about spending quality time with loved ones, it is also about extending kindness to those in need. Have you ever noticed that when you offer a helping hand to those in distress, you yourself experience an entirely unique and sublime sense of elation? Indeed, I have.
